Alexa and her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite at Tortworth Court – a room with an abundance of natural light, even on a gloomy wet March day! Alexa chose to do her own makeup and had the talented Lara Stokes creating a classic Hollywood waves.
The couple opted for a classic neutral pastel colour scheme with blush pink. Their guests even rocked these colours too with their outfits giving a stunning aesthetic to the day. Alexa’s beautiful bouquet consisted of only roses in various shades of white and blush pink which looked elegant and complimented her bridal look perfectly.
The ceremony was a romantic candle lit affair in the Orangery with a stunning full floral arch, bringing the outside inside. The Orangery was one of the main reasons Alexa and Vad chose De Vere Tortworth Court, with it’s natural light and stunning architecture. They opted to read personal vows to each other which gave an emotional touch to ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I highly recommend personal vows if you’re considering them! It’s the best way to personalise your ceremony and make it your own.
As it was drizzling most of the day we had to make the most of any dry parts of the day! Luckily Tortworth Court has plenty of parts of the venue that are covered allowing for natural light but the couple can stay dry. Alexa and Vad absolutely rocked it in the freezing rain!
